3D Printing FAQ
- Do I need training?
- Yes. Start with Training/Bambu 3D Printing Basics and ask the steward how local signoff is recorded.
- Can I use any filament?
- No. Start with approved PLA or PETG. Filled, abrasive, odor-heavy, high-temperature, and unknown materials require steward review.
- How long can my print run?
- The POC recommends recording a local maximum on Rooms/3D Printing Lab. Long prints need a queue note and approval path.
- What do I do if a print fails?
- Stop early, clean up, record what happened, and ask for help if the hotend, plate, filament path, or machine looks wrong.
- Where do I find models?
- See Showcase/3D Printed Things and How To/Prepare a 3D Model for Printing.
- How do I share my own design?
- Put public links in your profile and add the print to Showcase/3D Printed Things.
