September 14, 2026 Member Update

This Week

Date Item Details
Monday, September 14, 2026 New Member Orientation General access is expected, and this is the second Monday of the month, so a New Member Orientation is scheduled. Members who joined in the past month are especially encouraged to come at 7 p.m. to hear Membership Chair Jared W. discuss space policy and procedure.
Tuesday, September 15, 2026 Access Day Mondays and Tuesdays are scheduled as General Access days. CreatorSpace leadership and members with space permissions will be present from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 1199 NASA Rd 1 for members who want to help arrange rooms, tour the facility, or set up desks and offices.

Access And Membership Notes

  • General CreatorSpace access is paused until permits are received.
  • New members should expect a Slack invite and an introductory email containing space policies.
  • Membership gives immediate permission to enter the space, but physical entry still requires another member until an all-access code is issued.
  • The board expects about a month of general onboarding before distributing 24/7 access codes. Show up to events and open nights, stay active on Slack, and be visible to CreatorSpace management.
  • Use or ping #you_at_the_space for informal access coordination.
  • Donations are paused unless specifically confirmed by a steward.
  • Membership add-ons are paused until permits are received.
  • Remove trash from bins when they are full, clean up after yourself, and be especially careful about cleanup in the woodshop.
  • Items may be left in spaces only with steward approval and attached labels.

Past Events

  • The previous Thursday was the first board meeting in the new space.

Personnel Updates

  • John T. and Nathan C. are now co-Leatherworking Stewards.
  • Mari is now Fundraising Chair.

Showcase

The Slack #showcase channel has highlighted notable woodworking projects, including a handmade guitar and a dining-room corner stand by Tyler that was described as made without tools.

Classifieds

As the space is sorted and cleaned, check the Dross shelving unit in the main area for ongoing dross items.
