How To: Bambu Filament Change

Before You Start

  • Identify the current filament if possible.
  • Keep spool labels visible.
  • If the filament path, AMS, or extruder feels stuck, stop and ask a steward.

Steps

  1. Heat/unload using the printer or software workflow.
  2. Remove the old spool and label it if it returns to shared storage.
  3. Load the new spool with the correct material profile.
  4. Purge enough filament to clear the old color/material.
  5. Update the queue note with material and owner.
  6. Store filament dry and tidy.
